Vegan Options Restaurant Finder

Personal Project | UI Design

Not every project starts with a research phase — and that's okay to own. Vegan Options Restaurant Finder is a UI exploration for a mobile app that helps users find vegan-friendly options around them. The problem is one I understand personally — finding vegan and vegetarian menu items through existing apps is more frustrating than it should be. I wanted to explore what a dedicated, well-designed solution could look like.

Visual Interface

The design leans heavily on UI — clean components, clear information hierarchy, and intuitive navigation. Two navigation styles were explored: a hamburger menu and a bottom tab bar. Card view and list view variations were also created for both store and product browsing. These variations set up natural A/B testing opportunities for a future development phase.

UI Components

Outcome

20 High-fidelity designs were created.

Including two navigation styles (hamburger and a tab bar at the bottom of the screen) and variations for card view versus list views for stores and products. These both could be used for A/B testing in further design stages.

What's Next

This project is a strong candidate for a research phase. I'd want to talk to vegan and vegetarian diners about how they currently find options, what frustrates them, and what they actually need from an app like this. That research would sharpen every design decision that currently relies on intuition.
